Considerations for Importing Email into the Cloud

Accounts that use an email service connection via API to Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 allow an administrator to remotely activate Users.  Email service connections using IMAP will require a username and password, or app-specific password, for Users to be activated.  Please keep in mind that if email passwords change, the Administrator or End User will need to update the password.  It is possible that upon password change, any pre-existing app-specific passwords may be revoked depending on email service and may need to be created again.
