“User-rate limit exceeded” error from Google

Alert messages are sent to Match My Email Admins (and Users as designated) to inform when there is a problem with connection for the app.  If you receive an alert referencing that:

an Email import “has been locked out due to excessive number of login errors” and also that the Google query failed due to “User-rate limit exceeded”, we believe it is due to API call quotas.

It has been determined that Google is now enforcing quotas for API calls. For more information, please visit https://support.google.com/a/answer/6301355?hl=en.

MatchMyEmail will use Gmail API calls (and Google Calendar API calls if a calendar import is enabled). Normally, the daily quota would be reset each day.  If the alert messages continue and exceeding the Google daily quota is frequent, you may want to increase these limits with Google.
