2. Access to your Company’s Match My Email (MME) Account
Most Users find it convenient to access the MME account from within Salesforce. It is also possible to sign into the MME account from the app’s website using the Login link in the top menu. These options are explained below.
From within Salesforce, click the App Launcher (grid of dots left of navigation menu) and search for Match My Email. There will be one option under Apps and two options under Items.
Clicking the App > Match My Email, presented with our logo in black, will change your navigation menu at the top to the Match My Email App Menu. You will then need to click Match My Email to the right of Home to sign in.
If you’d rather save a click and have quicker access, click the Item > Match My Email. This will temporarily add the web tab to the current navigation menu you are using. To keep it there, you can click the drop menu option and choose Add to Nav Bar for quicker access.
Click Match My Email Setup to access the MME Control Panel and Configure settings (Detailed in another article). It will be temporarily added to your nav bar and you can choose to add it for quicker access. While primarily used by Administrators to manage the MME account, in some cases Users may need access to create personal Ignore rules or individually authenticate their import. The menu will differ depending on the type of User seeking access.
Another method for accessing your MME account is through the website by going to www.matchmyemail.com. Click Login in the top menu and choose the location of your MME account. During setup, the account was created on either the U.S.-based (Rest of the World) or EU-based server.
Click the Sign in with Salesforce button and confirm if it is in a Production or Salesforce instance. Click Next and proceed to sign into Salesforce and Allow access.
While this pathway from our website takes many more steps, it can be useful. Sometimes browsers will block cross-domain cookies or inhibit cross-site tracking that can make it difficult to navigate MME menus inside Salesforce (from the App Launcher). The interface from our website is slightly different and does offer the option of opening an email from the MME Activity Dashboard and viewing the header source code. This can be useful during troubleshooting and a support staff member may direct you to do this in some cases.
