Why can’t some of our users see Email Messages related list for objects ?

This could be due to settings either in Match My Email or in Salesforce.

To check Match My Email settings:

  1. “Settings” in blue ribbon -> “Domains & Users”
  2. Check roles of Users for each Domain. Users listed as End User will only see their communication. Cloud Admin & Domain Admins can see all email communication within that Domain.
  3. Use Edit option to change as needed and click “Save”.

In editions of Salesforce.com other than Group edition, privileges can be set based on user profiles.

  1. Go to Setup -> Security Controls -> Sharing Settings -> Organization Wide Defaults
  2. Click Edit and change Email Message from “Private” to “Public Read Only”. This would allow other users to view messages uploaded by Administrator profile.
