How do I configure Outlook to put outgoing messages in Sent Items folder?

  • In Outlook, go to Tools > Account Settings
  • Select the email account and click Change > More Settings
    (not for Exchange accounts)
  • Click on the folders tab
  • Select option “Choose an existing folder or create a new folder…”
  • Either click on folder you want or click New folder and follow steps to create new folder.
