Import error: “Failed to connect to IMAP server: error while reading data from server: Connection reset by peer”

I am getting a “Failed to connect to IMAP server: error while reading data from server: Connection reset by peer”. Why is this happening?

If, upon entering import information and clicking “Refresh Folders” button, you see the error: “Failed to connect to IMAP server: error while reading data from server: Connection reset by peer”, know that this indicates a problem with your IMAP server which is refusing IMAP connections from MatchMyEmail host. You could check the IMAP server logs to see why connections are rejected, but you can also check if there are any sort of IP rate limits for multiple authentication errors, SSL is enabled, and authentication options (username/email).
