One of the most useful features of the Salesforce Sales Cloud is email templates. Users and sales managers can create libraries of email templates that can be used to automate standard customer responses and/or drip email campaigns.
Salesforce Lightning users can send email using Outlook, Gmail or Apple Mail from inside a Lightning Record by making a simple configuration change.
The following steps explain how those that use Office 365 can set this up to relay emails through their Office 365 domain. In this way, the emails will then be received without ‘noreply’ language and will appear to come as if they were sent from an email client.
The Salesforce email module offers the ability to edit the subject line and/or body of an email stored in Activity. This edit feature is not enabled by default in Lightning. It has to be activated.
